Northern Alaska Images taken 22 Aug through 24 Aug 2007 at 8.0Mpix (3264x2448 resolution). This portion of our trip focuses on the Dalton Highway from Livengood to Atigun Pass, encompassing a good portion of the Brooks Range. We passed features like the Yukon River, the Arctic Circle, Finger Mountain, and Gobblers Knob. We also passed communities like Coldfoot and Wiseman. Of particular interest may be the "Last Spruce," a lone spruce tree (and also dead) that is the last on your journey northbound to the Arctic North Slope. You may even see some distant images of dall sheep scattered along the mountain peaks as we buzzed them at 6000 feet. This page last updated 27 Aug 2007.
