History of the 262d Medical Battalion

Why this site? My grandfather, Edward "Ed" Nichols, served in the 2d Engineer Special Bridge, Company B of the 262d Medical Battalion during World War II. After safely returning from the war he lived a life of peace near Salt Lake City, Utah. Sadly, he passed away 14 Sep 1967 from a heart attack -- I was born four years after his death -- So I never met this extraordinary man and want to learn more about those who impacted his life, particularly those who interacted with him during World War II. This page is dedicated to those men and women who served our country faithfully along my grandfather's side. Join me in honoring these heroes of our past....
